Job Description
The Project Engineering Manager oversees design and construction engineering activities across multiple disciplines, coordinating with engineering teams to plan, execute, and verify construction projects for fusion power plant development, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and facilitating project handover to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for design and construction engineering activities across all disciplines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on planning, sequencing, and assembling construction Work Packages.
- Develop installation specifications and coordinate 3D models.
- Interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Verify materials in the field and monitor construction progress.
- Respond to questions from constructors and provide field direction to ensure compliance with engineering documentation.
- Develop handover packages for commissioning.
Requirements
- Experience leading a team responsible for activities relating to design and construction engineering across all disciplines.
- Proficiency in working with engineering teams in the planning, sequencing, assembling, and issuing of construction Work Packages.
- Ability to develop installation specifications and coordinate 3D models.
- Skill in interpreting design drawings and specifications.
- Experience in field verification of materials.
- Ability to monitor construction progress.
- Experience responding to questions by constructors and providing direction in the field to ensure construction is in compliance with engineering documentation.
