A hands-on Manufacturing Engineer responsible for overseeing weekend production operations of high-temperature superconducting magnets in a dynamic, first-of-its-kind environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and the development of standardized processes during high-intensity build periods.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure safe and efficient production during weekend shifts when the weekday engineering team is offline.
Develop and implement standardized, repeatable processes for handling novel problems in a FOAK manufacturing environment.
Act as the technical lead for weekend manufacturing operations, troubleshooting issues and maintaining production quality.
Requirements
Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar hands-on manufacturing role, with the ability to lead and oversee weekend operations in a high-intensity environment.
Ability to serve as the technical anchor for the 4th and 5th Shift, ensuring safe and efficient production of high-temperature superconducting magnets during weekend shifts when the weekday engineering team is offline.
Proven ability to bring order to a First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) manufacturing environment by designing and implementing standardized, repeatable processes for novel problems encountered during product development and machine building.
Availability to work 10-hour shifts from Friday through Monday, providing critical coverage during high-intensity weekend builds.
Experience in developing and turning first encounters with novel problems into standardized, repeatable processes in a manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with designing products while simultaneously building the machinery, in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment driven by values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information, including adherence to Export Control Laws, as a condition of employment.
