Job Description
The R&D Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a multi-discipline team to operate and maintain test stands for acceptance testing of production hardware, ensuring high-quality data output. This role involves collaboration across various teams to enhance test stand design and achieve project goals on aggressive schedules.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and develop a multi-discipline test team for operating test stands.
- •Ensure efficient and effective acceptance testing of production hardware.
- •Understand and enhance test stand design, build, and commission test stands.
- •Operate and maintain test stands to ensure high-quality data output.
- •Collaborate with Production, R&D, Procurement, and SPARC teams.
- •Coach the team to challenge requirements, risks, and test objectives.
Requirements
- •Responsible for leading and developing a small multi-discipline test team in efficiently and effectively operating test stands for acceptance testing production hardware on aggressive schedules.
- •Fundamental understanding of mechanical, electrical, materials, fluids, and software engineering, or some combination.
- •Experience in understanding and enhancing test stand design, completing the build and commissioning of test stands, as well as operating and maintaining the test stands.
- •Ability to work collaboratively across Production, R&D, Procurement, and the SPARC teams.
- •Experience in coaching a team to push and challenge requirements, risks, and test objectives.
