The Machinist will be responsible for machining and modifying parts using various machine shop tools and techniques, following drawings and models, to support the development of fusion energy technology at Commonwealth Fusion Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Machining or modifying parts based on verbal instructions, drawings, and solid models.
Operating standard machine shop equipment such as 3-axis machining centers, waterjet, Trak mill, lathe, surface grinder, and other standard tools.
Requirements
Experience in machining or modifying parts using standard machine shop tooling such as 3 axis machining centers, waterjet, Trak mill and lathe, surface grinder, and standard equipment.
Ability to interpret verbal communication, drawings, and solid models to perform machining or modifications.
Proficiency in operating and setting up machine shop equipment including 3 axis machining centers, waterjet, Trak mill and lathe, surface grinder, and standard equipment.
Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws) is required, and any offer of employment will be contingent on the need for compliance with such laws.
