Job Description
The Lead Production Technician is responsible for leading a team in the hands-on assembly and improvement of high-temperature superconducting magnets and related systems for fusion energy devices, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and continuous process enhancement during the second shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team building high-temperature superconducting magnets and assemblies.
- Improve production processes and tasks continuously.
- Maintain production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Ensure quality standards are met according to documentation.
- Work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, magnetic, cryogenic, pressure, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
Requirements
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced and agile environment, specifically in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience working with mechanical, electrical, magnetic, cryogenic, pressure, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to continuously improve production tasks and processes.
- Experience maintaining production schedules with effective resource management.
- Ability to assure that quality requirements are met according to documentation.
- Proficiency in building and assembling high-temperature superconducting magnets and related assemblies.
- Availability to work the Second Shift, which is from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
