Job Description
An R&D Test Engineering Intern will assist in designing, building, and conducting tests on magnet components for fusion technology development, supporting the de-risking of magnet systems and contributing to the advancement of fusion energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineers in designing and building test stand components and fixtures for testing magnet technology.
- Conduct tests and analyze data to obtain high-quality results.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on test data to support magnet component development.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
- Ability to support engineers in designing and building test stand components and fixtures for testing magnet technology components.
- Experience or ability to conduct tests and analysis to obtain high quality data that informs actionable recommendations.
- Willingness to work primarily at CFS-1 location on-site.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive schedules.
- Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws).
