Job Description
The Corporate Development Associate at Coast will support financial analysis and reporting across corporate finance, project finance, and treasury, focusing on improving financial outcomes and developing financial models for various stakeholders. This role involves managing reporting activities, enhancing financial models, and driving capital strategy optimization within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all reporting activity, including sponsor reporting and investment committee memos.
- Maintain and improve corporate financial models for capital strategy and decision making.
- Reconcile project-level data with ERP and Excel portfolio analysis models.
- Drive improvements to tax equity and related models in collaboration with the CFO.
- Support continuous improvement in project-level pricing models.
- Develop benchmarks and key performance indicators for financial performance.
- Optimize the company's capital stack and manage liquidity planning.
- Identify financing gaps and strategies to address them.
- Track and report on debt and tax equity compliance.
- Create and execute sponsor equity capital calls and debt facility draws.
- Research industry developments and provide management with insights.
Requirements
- 3 years experience as an associate at an investment bank or private equity firm focused on financial services, energy or similar.
- 3 years of solar project finance experience with a strong preference for experience in the commercial and industrial solar sector.
- Strong technical Excel modeling skills, including extended timeframe modeling of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Flexible to work extended hours as needed to deliver projects on time.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
