The Environmental Specialist supports site environmental programs to ensure regulatory compliance, manages hazardous waste and other environmental aspects, and assists with reporting, documentation, and developing site-specific environmental procedures within a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with site environmental programs and regulations
Assist in preparing environmental regulatory reports for government agencies
Support the development and implementation of site-specific environmental programs and procedures
Maintain relationships with local and state regulatory agencies
Assist with data input, compliance reviews, and permit maintenance for environmental management systems
Requirements
BA BS in environmental science or related field and/or 4-6 years of relevant experience
Requires valid license to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to operate personnel computer with technical proficiency of standard business software
Ability to read, write and understand English
Knowledge in wildlife biology related to renewable energy facilities
Experience with Federal and state Endangered Species Acts, Clean Air Act and/or Clean Water Act as related to the construction and operation of renewable energy projects
