Job Description

The Operations Control Center Shift Supervisor oversees and supervises real-time operations of renewable energy plants, ensuring continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and compliance across wind, solar, and BESS assets, while leading a team of operations specialists in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and direction to on-shift Real-Time Operations Specialists in daily activities
  • Manage root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes for real-time operations issues
  • Monitor and troubleshoot real-time activity, performance, and operational status of renewable energy assets
  • Review operator logs for accuracy and compliance
  • Perform acceptance testing on RPMC tools and applications
  • Support commissioning and onboarding of new projects and personnel
  • Implement processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and quality standards
  • Assist with RFIs, data requests, and other operational duties
  • Provide feedback, mentoring, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Act as a liaison between front-line employees and management to ensure clear communication

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations.
  • A 4-year degree or relevant experience may be considered.
  • Able to demonstrate competent technical knowledge of plant and system processes and experience in operating electrical or SCADA systems.
  • Able to interpret NERC, ERCOT, WECC, CAISO, PJM, and SPP regulations and requirements.
  • Available for 24-hour on-call duty to meet obligations to the Operations Team as issues arise.
  • Knowledge of functional system interactions and the ability to pay attention to critical elements in a complex and regulated environment.
  • Ability to make financial decisions based on real-time power plant equipment analysis and contract-related cost weighting, risk versus reward.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Ability to take direction, identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and resolve team challenges.

Salary Range: $92,000 - $109,000 USD
Eligible for an annual cash bonus based on personal and company performance
