Job Description
The Strategy Intern will support cross-functional projects, conduct financial and market analyses, and assist in strategic initiatives related to renewable energy development and growth, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management and analytical problem solving on cross-functional projects
- Conduct analyses using financial models
- Collaborate with teams on due diligence for new product introductions and market entry
- Perform quantitative analyses to support origination, development, and financing activities
- Prepare detailed memos and presentations for senior management and boards
- Conduct market analysis to identify new growth opportunities and acquisition targets
- Maintain competitive market intelligence within the renewable energy industry
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MBA or other graduate-level degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or computer science.
- First or second year student.
- Strong quantitative skills, proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, and familiar or comfortable with financial models.
- Ability to clearly communicate concepts and support hypotheses with data.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about renewable project development, financing structures, and power markets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including willingness to ask questions, listen to colleagues, and contribute ideas.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable, showing up, being present, and eager to dive into the workday.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership over projects and assignments.
- Comfortable taking initiative, asking questions, and speaking up.
