Job Description
The Safety Intern will support the implementation of safety, health, and technical training programs within fleet operations, focusing on injury prevention and regulatory compliance, while gaining hands-on experience through project work and audits in a renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of EHS and technical safety training programs for wind, solar, and BESS operations
- Maintain and update departmental SharePoint sites and review procedures for regulatory compliance
- Assist with site support activities such as tower evaluations, audits, and procedure creation
- Participate in project assignments and present findings to team and leadership at the end of the internship
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in safety related fields and being a current junior or rising senior.
- Experience in Training Safety such as CSP, or ASP credentials.
- Proficiency in SharePoint.
- A basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as a team member.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.
- An understanding of the factors that influence human behavior.
- Ability to prioritize tasks within a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Some experience in the design and delivery of technical and safety related training.
- Experience proficient in computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office software.
