The Safety Intern will support the implementation of safety, health, and technical training programs within fleet operations, focusing on injury prevention and regulatory compliance, while gaining hands-on experience through project work and audits in a renewable energy company.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and delivery of EHS and technical safety training programs for wind, solar, and BESS operations
Maintain and update departmental SharePoint sites and review procedures for regulatory compliance
Assist with site support activities such as tower evaluations, audits, and procedure creation
Participate in project assignments and present findings to team and leadership at the end of the internship
Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in safety related fields and being a current junior or rising senior.
Experience in Training Safety such as CSP, or ASP credentials.
Proficiency in SharePoint.
A basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operations.
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as a team member.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders.
An understanding of the factors that influence human behavior.
Ability to prioritize tasks within a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Some experience in the design and delivery of technical and safety related training.
Experience proficient in computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office software.
