Job Description
The Corporate Accounting Intern will support various accounting functions such as financial reporting, consolidations, and fixed asset accounting, gaining hands-on experience through a 10-week summer internship program. The role involves assisting with monthly and quarterly close activities, preparing financial filings, and participating in process improvements within a dynamic energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist multiple accounting teams with monthly and quarterly close activities
- Support the preparation of Clearway Energy, Inc.'s Q2 2026 Form 10-Q filing
- Provide support and communicate with external auditors
- Help manage metadata in ERP and Consolidations platforms
- Contribute to accounting process improvement initiatives and documentation updates
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with successful completion of multiple accounting courses including intermediate accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to assist multiple accounting teams in completing general monthly and quarterly close activities.
- Ability to support the financial reporting team in the preparation of Clearway Energy, Inc.'s Q2 2026 Form 10-Q filing.
- Ability to provide support to and communicate with Clearway’s external auditors.
- Ability to help the consolidations team manage metadata in Clearway’s ERP and Consolidations platforms.
- Willingness to contribute to accounting process improvement initiatives and documentation updates.
- Availability to participate in a 10-week summer internship program beginning on June 1, 2026, and ending on August 7, 2026.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role based in the Princeton office, with in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
