Job Description
The Strategic Procurement Associate is responsible for vendor qualification, selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing contract administration for owner-furnished equipment in the renewable energy sector, specifically focusing on solar and energy storage projects. This role involves building relationships with equipment vendors, supporting procurement strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate vendor qualification, selection, and contract negotiation support.
- Develop and manage relationships with major equipment vendors.
- Support the development and implementation of a sourcing strategy for owner-furnished equipment.
- Document pricing guidance for solar and energy storage technologies.
- Manage the development of RFP documentation and bidding strategies.
- Evaluate bid responses and make shortlist and award recommendations.
- Negotiate agreements related to scope, price, terms, and delivery with suppliers.
- Ensure alignment across major project agreements to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and manage issuance and administration of purchase orders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new contract policies and processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in contract management, supply chain management, procurement, or related field preferred.
- 4 years of experience working on solar and/or energy storage projects or other related renewables industry experience.
- Contract negotiation or contract management experience.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an understanding of contract language and technical concepts.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas for this position (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).

Salary Range: 92,000 - 120,000 USD
Hybrid work schedule with office-based collaboration on Tuesdays and Thursdays
