Job Description
The role involves analyzing energy operations data to develop insights, create dashboards, perform complex analytics, and support decision-making processes within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards and operational reports using Hex and Power BI to monitor energy performance metrics and KPIs
- Design visualizations and interactive reports to communicate energy data and trends effectively
- Conduct complex analytical investigations using Python to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
- Perform statistical analysis, including forecasting and time series analysis, related to energy production and consumption
- Collaborate with credit risk teams to analyze financial data supporting regulatory reporting and business operations
- Present analytical findings to internal stakeholders and translate data insights into actionable recommendations
- Monitor renewable energy asset performance and operational efficiency indicators
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements through performance monitoring
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- 0-2 years of analytics or related experience, including internships, academic projects, and entry-level roles
- Strong SQL abilities for data extraction and analysis from databases
- Proficiency in Python with libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and basic data visualization
- Experience with visualization tools Power BI, Tableau, Hex, or similar for creating charts and dashboards
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts and analytical methods
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to derive insights from data
- Ability to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Comfortable with a hybrid work environment requiring 2-3 days in the office
