Job Description
The Analyst/Senior Analyst will support the commercial strategy for utility-scale renewable energy projects, focusing on financial modeling, project acquisition, and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful project development and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the project financial model for development assets.
- Work with Capital Markets, Engineering, and Development teams to ensure conformance with underwriting guidelines.
- Run sensitivity analyses and generate ideas to optimize valuation.
- Support origination, structuring, and closing of utility-scale solar, wind, and storage transactions.
- Coordinate with functional teams on due diligence and financial model inputs.
- Prepare detailed memos and presentations for senior management and investment committee.
- Support pricing analysis and bidding strategy for offtake contracts.
- Develop statistical analyses to quantify risk in transactions.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to resolve negotiation impediments.
- Collaborate with functional groups and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
- Develop additional functionality for financial structures in Excel and VBA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic record from an accredited undergraduate program, ideally with a focus in finance, business administration, or economics.
- 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience in a finance or a development role with specific focus on project financial modeling.
- Fundamental knowledge of renewable energy, cleantech, power markets, or infrastructure finance.
- Experience navigating discounted cash flow models.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong aptitude for analytical and financial modeling with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills.
- Robust organizational skills with a mindset towards pursuing simple and efficient solutions.
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects work streams, set priorities, and exercise judgment unsupervised.
- Interest in developing management skills and desire to grow personally and professionally within the organization.
- 4 years of relevant work experience in a finance or a development role with specific focus on project financial modeling for Senior Analyst position.
- Strong familiarity with renewable energy for Senior Analyst position.

Compensation/salary range: Analyst $80,000 - $97,000, Senior Analyst $92,000 - $114,000
Hybrid work schedule with office-based employees working together from Tuesday to Thursday
