Job Description
The position involves conducting economic analysis, building models, and supporting antitrust and competition cases in China, with opportunities to work on litigation, regulatory reviews, and strategic projects while collaborating with experts in a global consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform economic analyses to support case theories
- Build Excel models and conduct regression analysis using languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SAS
- Conduct economic and industry research and analyze client materials
- Review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
- Assist in the production of research summaries, expert reports, and presentation of findings
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of analyses
- Support practice development activities including training, recruiting, and knowledge management
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with an academic focus on quantitative research Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline
- Up to 2 years of relevant work experience in financial economic analysis, preferably in a consulting firm
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to explain, economic, financial and or accounting concepts, and quantitative and qualitative analysis methods
- Experience working with large data sets in Excel and or statistical analysis programs e.g SAS, Stata, R, etc.
- Fluency in Mandarin language in economic analysis and business settings, including written Simple Chinese, verbal communication, and comprehension, with additional interviews during the final round
- Ability to perform economic analyses to support case theories
- Ability to build Excel models, and perform regression analysis and programming using languages such as Stata, R, Python, or SAS
- Ability to conduct economic and industry research while analyzing client materials to build an understanding of a case's issues
- Ability to review and summarize analyst reports, client documents, and industry trade press
- Ability to assist in the production and development of research summaries, expert reports, and the presentation of findings
- Commitment to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses
