Job Description
A Value Engineer at Celonis is a trusted advisor responsible for guiding customers through the end-to-end value journey by translating strategic objectives into actionable use cases, building business cases, facilitating value workshops, and driving platform adoption to achieve measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer objectives into value assessments and proof-of-value projects
- Build business cases and demos leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices
- Conduct value assessments and facilitate business value workshops
- Identify and qualify opportunities for process improvement using Celonis platform
- Present results and realized value to senior management and C-level executives
- Develop strategic expansion roadmaps to embed Celonis as a transformation platform
- Drive customer adoption, expansion, and renewal of the Celonis platform
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer use cases
Requirements
- Experience in an analytical role with the objective to demonstrate or secure value through business data analysis, business process improvement, and respective Software deployment, ideally in a customer-facing role such as Solution Consulting, Sales Engineering, IT Management Consulting with a Business Software SaaS Provider or a Consultancy, or in an Inhouse role e.g. Center of Excellence for Data Mining Analytics Intelligence within an Enterprise.
- Good knowledge of Business Software SaaS applications such as SAP, with experience in implementing RPA and/or BI Tools, and/or building Dashboards, Apps, and Action Flows.
- Knowledge of Python and/or SQL.
- Experience in collaborating with IT teams.
- Experience in identifying use cases for business process improvement and deploying improvement measures, being a change agent, and training users and process owners to realize value.
- Experience in planning and managing project scopes, expectations, and timelines across multiple projects at different parts of the value journey, leveraging partners from the Celonis Ecosystem where possible.
- Experience in preparing and communicating value roadmaps and results to stakeholders and management, both internally and externally, with excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Understanding of the Finance and/or Supply Chain domain as well as strategic transformation initiatives such as Shared Services Transformation or System Transformation.
- Ideally, expertise in one or more industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, or Chemicals, with the ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities.
- A degree in Technology Management, Industrial Business Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a comparable degree program.
