Job Description

The role involves working as part of the Orchestration and Actions Platform team at Celonis, focusing on building and maintaining resilient, reliable, and scalable systems. Responsibilities include improving system performance, collaborating with product teams on reliability, and implementing best practices in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Responsibilities

  • Assist teams in building and operating resilient, reliable, and scalable systems
  • Ensure end-to-end availability and peak performance of the product
  • Help Product teams understand and improve the reliability of their services
  • Design, write, and deliver software to improve product availability, performance, scalability, and efficiency
  • Provide technical leadership on reliability to engineers, managers, and product managers
  • Improve monitoring, metrics, and KPIs, and define and implement missing SLOs
  • Implement processes and automation to prevent problem recurrence
  • Document acquired knowledge and implement SRE best practices
  • Guide a technical roadmap for reliability to plan and build reliable solutions

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience performing as SRE or in similar roles.
  • Solid SRE experience developing and running large-scale infrastructure and application services running on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Kubernetes resource management.
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools like Helm or Kustomize.
  • Working experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working with modern cloud monitoring systems for observability e.g. Datadog.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting or mentoring other developers with running services reliably in production.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and effectively with diverse, fast-paced teams.
