Job Description
The Principal Value Engineer at Celonis is a strategic advisor responsible for helping customers realize value from the Process Intelligence Platform through process analysis, value assessments, and business transformation initiatives, primarily within the retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate customer objectives into value assessments and proof-of-value projects
- Build business cases and demos leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices
- Conduct value assessments and facilitate workshops to identify process improvement opportunities
- Present value realization results to senior management and C-level executives
- Manage the end-to-end customer value journey, including landing, expanding, adoption, and renewal
- Develop strategic expansion roadmaps to embed Celonis as a core business transformation platform
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer use cases
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in management or strategy consulting, or related experience in Industry.
- Experience in an analytical role with the objective to demonstrate or secure value through business data analysis, business process improvement, and respective software deployment.
- Experience in identifying use cases for business process improvement and deploying improvement measures, being a change agent, and training users and process owners to realize value.
- Strong expertise in retail, including supply chain management, inventory optimization, omnichannel retail, e-commerce, and customer experience, with demonstrated success in helping retail clients transform and improve operational efficiency using advanced data analytics and process intelligence.
- Experience in preparing and communicating value roadmaps and results to stakeholders and management, both internally and externally.
- Understanding of the Finance and/or Supply Chain domain as well as strategic transformation initiatives such as Shared Services Transformation or System Transformation.
- Good knowledge of Business Software SaaS applications (e.g., SAP), with experience in implementing RPA, BI Tools, and building Dashboards, Apps, and Action Flows.
- Knowledge of Python and/or SQL.
- Experience collaborating with IT teams.
- Experience in planning and managing project scopes, expectations, and timelines, managing multiple projects at different stages of the value journey, and leveraging partners from the Celonis Ecosystem.

Base salary range of $172,500 to $210,750 USD in New York
