Job Description
The role involves providing strategic leadership and hands-on expertise in securing Celonis's multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including designing security controls, managing cloud security tools, and leading a team of security engineers to enhance the company's cloud security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance security components for Celonis applications and platforms
- Lead and develop a team of cloud security engineers to implement cloud security strategies
- Implement and manage security controls across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Oversee security for containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters
- Integrate and manage security tools such as Teleport and Tenable within the infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning
- Respond to cloud security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
Requirements
- Over 7 years of hands-on experience in information security, specializing in securing cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated managerial experience leading security teams, driving the implementation of best practices, and securing cloud services in production environments.
- Deep expertise in identity and access management (IAM), network security including VPCs, security groups, firewalls, and container security, including hands-on experience with Container Network Interfaces (CNI) such as Cilium.
- Extensive practical experience securing Kubernetes orchestrations and container ecosystems.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and automation scripting in Python and Bash to enforce scalable, automated security measures.
- Experience in offensive cloud security assessments using tools such as ScoutSuite, Prowler, CloudSploit, Pacu, and similar cloud security auditing utilities, with the ability to proactively identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor security teams or projects, with strong project management and communication skills to articulate risks and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Up-to-date understanding of modern cloud security practices and frameworks including zero-trust networking, principle of least privilege, and threat modeling for cloud environments.
- Experience implementing monitoring and alerting for cloud environments using tools such as CloudTrail, Azure Monitor, and GCP Cloud Logging, and interpreting the results to improve security.
