Job Description
The Head of Global Procurement at Celonis is responsible for transforming and leading the company's procurement functions, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, negotiation, process optimization, and team development to support high-growth SaaS and technology business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement as a strategic business enabler supporting internal stakeholders' needs
- Optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for major spend decisions
- Negotiate commercial terms and pricing to maximize value and support growth
- Develop and execute category management strategies for cloud infrastructure and SaaS applications
- Build strong partnerships with internal teams and position procurement as a collaborative, results-driven function
- Streamline and automate procurement processes using AI and modern technologies
- Design scalable, efficient procurement approaches that facilitate business growth
- Mentor and develop a high-performing, global procurement team
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive professional procurement experience with a minimum of 5 years in a strategic leadership role within a high-growth SaaS or technology company
- Proven ability to deliver measurable commercial results in dynamic, high-growth environments
- Superior communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing executive stakeholders and guiding procurement strategies that support broader business goals
- Strategic contracting and negotiation expertise with the ability to forge win-win vendor partnerships
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and deliver results under pressure
- Deep knowledge of emerging trends, procurement best practices, and leading procurement technologies
- Experience leading the implementation and evolution of full cycle procure-to-pay processes ensuring effective use of tools, technology, automation, and AI
- Demonstrated team development capabilities across global teams and time zones
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and sourcing challenges
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Effective project management skills, including the ability to think end-to-end, manage long-term projects, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with excellent soft skills and the ability to motivate and influence all levels of management
