At Carbon Direct, we dedicate our scientific, software, and business expertise to empower organizations around the world to take climate action.

Design, build, and deploy full-stack features end-to-end.
Build systems from the ground up and grow the product surface area.
Prototype quickly to test hypotheses, deciding what to rework and what to discard.
Harden validated prototypes, taking them to enterprise-scale.
Make sound architectural decisions with limited precedent.
Ship code to production regularly, owning its quality and reliability.
Shape engineering practices and technical direction as an early, senior voice.
Support the developer experience for AI-empowered contributors from non-engineering backgrounds.

Significant professional experience as a full-stack engineer, with the depth to work confidently across front-end, back-end, databases, and deployment.
A track record of building systems from scratch and operating them at scale, with the judgment to make sound tradeoffs in multi-layer distributed systems.
An innovator who uses agentic engineering tools in their daily workflow and has deployed AI-augmented software systems to production.
A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, able to scope problems, and biased toward shipping viable solutions over waiting for perfect specs.
Able to hit the ground running and contribute within days, not weeks.
Strong product instincts and commercial awareness. You care about what you're building and why, not just how.
A team player who collaborates effectively with design partners, product managers, scientists, and business stakeholders, translating their needs into technical solutions.
Experience working in carbon, climate, or energy is a strong plus.
