Job Description
The Offtake Strategist at Carbon Direct will focus on scaling corporate offtake and enhancing the deployment of high-quality carbon removal solutions. This role involves engaging with buyers, designing offtake structures, and supporting the growth of key accounts to help organizations achieve their climate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support target setting, funnel development, and execution for high-quality offtake
- Design and develop offtake structures to help buyers meet climate goals
- Engage buyers on business development, sales, and partnership development
- Own the acquisition and growth of key offtake accounts
- Support buyers with portfolio design and execution
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams for successful offtake prospect engagements
- Work strategically with Carbon Direct teams to improve conversion and retention rates
Requirements
- Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic offtake sales for inventory-based businesses that have driven revenue growth and market expansion.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with key clients and partners.
- Familiarity with offtake agreement structuring, contract negotiations, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Experience building business development and/or sales pipelines.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess market dynamics, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong understanding of the carbon management and sustainability sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Proficient in CRM software.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.

Salary Range: 82,000-97,000 a year bonus
