Job Description
The role involves managing partnerships with semiconductor companies to drive open source adoption, develop joint product strategies, and promote Ubuntu across hardware platforms, requiring technical collaboration, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and alliance teams at silicon partners to align on open-source strategies
- Ensure Canonical's product requirements are clear and delivery is executed as planned
- Maintain relationships with engineering teams to integrate and optimize Ubuntu
- Act as the product champion and point of contact for silicon partners
- Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans
- Create partner- and customer-facing materials such as webinars, presentations, videos, and white papers
- Drive Ubuntu adoption across partner products and advocate its benefits to stakeholders
- Lead efforts to make Canonical products the default choice for partners and accelerate end-user adoption
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, and/or engineering.
- Fundamental understanding of the semiconductor industry and ecosystem.
- Experience in software and system architecture.
- Customer-facing experience in business development, technology strategy, or similar functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to grasp complex material and synthesize key points.
- Ability to think and work at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Disciplined and self-motivated for a remote-first workplace environment.
