Job Description
This role involves helping global companies adopt private cloud infrastructure and open source applications, focusing on Linux, Kubernetes, and OpenStack. Responsibilities include designing cloud solutions, deploying technologies, and developing software in Python, while also providing customer support and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Design private and public cloud solutions for customer workloads
- Deploy, test, and hand over cloud solutions to support or managed services
- Develop Kubernetes operators and infrastructure-as-code using Python
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions using OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Hadoop, and Spark
- Coach and develop colleagues in cloud technologies
- Work across the entire Linux stack, including kernel, networking, storage, and applications
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or related software engineering expertise
- Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, AWS, GCP, Azure, Ceph
- Practical knowledge of Linux and networking
- Intermediate to Advanced level of Python programming skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Great organisational skills and follow-up reliably on commitments
- Ability to travel globally up to 25% of the time for internal and external events
