Job Description
This part-time position involves working under a Licensed Architect to contribute to the design and technical aspects of a large healthcare facility project, coordinating with various disciplines and ensuring compliance through collaboration. The role requires strong architectural skills, project management abilities, and effective communication with team members and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently contribute design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing.
- Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex site plans.
- Assist in coordination of engineering systems with engineers and consultants.
- Communicate project status, design intent, and construction updates to stakeholders.
- Perform field site inspections and site visits.
- Facilitate integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies.
- Utilize CannonDesign Method to achieve service delivery and quality.
- Monitor technical quality of projects and enforce QA QC process standards.
- Supervise, monitor, train, and direct work of interns and less experienced team members.
- Take a leadership role within the project team and in team meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master s degree in Architecture required.
- Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
- Previous experience on large, complex projects.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must be a critical thinker.
- Must be highly analytical.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- Technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team is essential.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
- Travel required.
