This role involves working under a Licensed Architect to develop technical aspects of architectural projects, including design, coordination, detailing, and site observations, while leading and supervising team members to ensure quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to design, production, coordination, and detailing of architectural projects
Prepare design sketches and site plans
Coordinate engineering systems with consultants and team members
Communicate project status, design intent, and updates to stakeholders
Perform field site observations and visits
Integrate sustainable and performance-based design strategies
Ensure technical quality and compliance through QA/QC processes
Supervise, train, and lead interns and junior team members
Participate in team meetings and project leadership activities
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field required.
Minimum of 8 years of related professional experience required.
Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with the project team and coordinate effectively.
Ability to independently contribute to design, production, coordination, and architectural detailing as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience preparing design sketches of moderate to complex site plans.
Experience assisting in coordination of engineering systems with engineers and consultants.
Experience communicating project status, design intent, construction updates, and other critical information clearly and compellingly to owners, consultants, and clients.
Experience performing field site observations, including physically walking through the site.
Ability to facilitate integration of performance-based and sustainable design strategies into design solutions.
Experience enforcing QA QC process standards and ensuring all statutory project requirements are achieved.
Experience supervising, monitoring, training, and directing work of interns and less experienced team members.
Experience taking a leadership role within the project team and in team meetings.
