This role involves providing technical leadership and quality oversight for large architectural or engineering projects, managing project delivery processes, mentoring teams, and developing strategies to ensure technical excellence across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor technical project delivery and quality review processes across disciplines.
Develop and implement regional quality engagement strategies and oversee project risk assessments.
Guide teams in developing and updating Project Quality Plans and ensuring adherence to technical standards.
Lead technical reviews for large projects and coordinate efforts of project reviewers.
Establish and oversee office quality plans and strategies to ensure technical excellence.
Participate in technical leadership meetings and contribute to quality resource development.
Monitor office metrics related to risk, quality, sustainability, and technology to address concerns.
Support hiring and provide feedback for senior technical staff.
Engage in project phase quality reviews and ensure proactive technical guidance and mentoring.
Promote knowledge sharing and technical innovation through forums, articles, and training.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 18 years of related professional experience in Architecture and/or Engineering.
Experience includes 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects.
At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional and/or commercial projects.
Current Architectural Registration or Professional Engineer license in the United States required.
Extensive experience designing, documenting, coordinating, and administering the construction of significant projects.
Expertise in codes, standards, and familiarity with proven solutions to address conflicting requirements between building authorities, client needs, construction technologies, and insurance provisions.
Demonstrated focus on quality.
Experience leading all technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects of more than 200 million dollars in construction costs.
Strong technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong business acumen, technical knowledge, coordination skills, and the ability to build rapport with the project team.
Advanced understanding of REVIT and BIM workflows.
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Teams, and construction management software.
