Job Description
This position involves leading and providing expert guidance on large, complex healthcare architecture projects, including planning, design, client collaboration, and team mentorship, with a focus on innovative, sustainable solutions within the health market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and serve as subject matter expert on large, complex healthcare projects
- Engage and collaborate with project teams, clients, and disciplines to develop technical solutions
- Develop, review, and translate planning concepts into architectural drawings and project documentation
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during contract negotiations
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to team members
- Contribute to industry innovation through research, publishing, and presentations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must possess advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must have strong business acumen
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
- Travel required
