Job Description
This role involves leading architectural planning and design for a large healthcare facility, serving as a subject matter expert, collaborating with project teams, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring project documentation aligns with client goals and sustainable design principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal Subject Matter Expert Teams and develop innovative solutions for healthcare facility projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams, clients, and designers through reports and presentations.
- Develop, review, and modify planning concepts, architectural drawings, and specifications for construction.
- Translate planning concepts into project documentation and develop project scope and services.
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to design team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects in the health market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must possess advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must have strong business acumen
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
- Travel required
