Job Description

This role involves leading architectural planning and design for a large healthcare facility, serving as a subject matter expert, collaborating with project teams, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring project documentation aligns with client goals and sustainable design principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead internal Subject Matter Expert Teams and develop innovative solutions for healthcare facility projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
  • Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
  • Communicate planning concepts to project teams, clients, and designers through reports and presentations.
  • Develop, review, and modify planning concepts, architectural drawings, and specifications for construction.
  • Translate planning concepts into project documentation and develop project scope and services.
  • Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide guidance to design team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market
  • Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects in the health market
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements
  • Must possess advanced knowledge in the discipline
  • Must have strong business acumen
  • Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lead less experienced team members
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
  • Travel required
