Job Description

This position is a senior project management role focused on leading healthcare design projects, managing client relationships, overseeing project teams, and ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop client relationships to ensure project success and future opportunities.
  • Manage project teams to develop goals, work plans, and achieve quality, budget, schedule, and profitability objectives.
  • Oversee design and documentation processes, including implementation during construction and maintaining project records.
  • Coordinate risk management, compliance, and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in project management roles required.
  • Must have 5 years of experience working on healthcare projects.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare industry processes and terms.
  • Capability of performing in a project management role for single or multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam as well as other data management software is required.
  • Professional business attire is required for client meetings, including suits, ties, collared dress shirts, dresses, and skirts.
  • Weekly onsite presence at the project location in Rochester, MN is required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive client relations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ability to communicate design, planning, construction, and other issues to clients in a clear and compelling way.
  • Ability to develop a Partnering relationship with the client early in an engagement to establish shared expectations and provide clarity on how work will be conducted, key stakeholder involvement, and timing of key decisions.
  • Ability to ensure appropriate client and internal communication including written project documentation.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and nurture successful partnering relationships with clients to lead to future opportunities.
  • Ability to participate in Business Development activities and collaborate with Marketing and Office Leadership as needed.
  • Understanding of contractual obligations to ensure the team delivers on scope of work and required services.
  • Proactive communication with clients to obtain approvals for scope additions and process payables for services.
  • Ability to lead project teams to develop project goals, work plans, and achieve quality, budget, schedule, innovation, and profitability objectives.
  • Experience in facilitating development, evolution, and management of work plan, budget, and schedule, with preferred tools including MS Project and Deltek Project Planning.
  • Ability to manage design and documentation process and oversee implementation during construction.
  • Accountability for maintaining project records, including documenting key decisions within standard file structures.
  • Accountability for risk mitigation and compliance, including developing and managing a risk management plan.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all team members, generate a positive team environment, and provide leadership, mentoring, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to ensure statutory requirements are achieved and enforce QA/QC process standards, including active participation in QA/QC activities.
  • Ability to coordinate with project architect and quality leader in planning work.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with project leadership, Business Practice Leader, and Legal Team.
  • Must possess business acumen and strong client leadership skills.
  • Strong project team management skills, capable of managing single or multiple projects.
  • Must have advanced knowledge in relevant discipline.
  • Licensure or registration in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
