Job Description

The role involves leading interior design projects for a large healthcare facility, providing design leadership, coordinating with various disciplines, and ensuring project goals are met while maintaining client relationships and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the client and project team in establishing project goals and vision.
  • Lead project interior design across multiple projects.
  • Oversee design development through all project phases.
  • Evaluate client needs and document design objectives.
  • Coordinate project design work and ensure code compliance.
  • Conduct drawing reviews in line with project constraints.
  • Assist in project planning and budgeting.
  • Develop schedules for interior design components.
  • Lead client meetings and maintain positive relations.
  • Implement and enforce interior design standards.
  • Lead development of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
  • Mentor less experienced interior design staff.
  • Participate in marketing activities and proposal development.
  • Engage in construction administration activities, including site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
  • Ability to provide interior design leadership across multiple projects.
  • Strong design, storytelling, and technical skills as well as knowledge of building and life safety codes required.
  • Exceptional presentation, organizational, team building, collaboration, and communication skills are a must.
  • The ability to build and maintain client relationships is essential.
  • Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
  • Travel required; at a minimum, travel to the client site is expected every other week.
  • As a condition of employment, all employees are expected to complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and adhere to internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
