Job Description
This position involves leading and managing interior design projects from concept to completion, providing creative and technical leadership, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring design quality, code compliance, and project goals are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and engage with clients and project teams to establish project goals and vision.
- Provide interior design leadership across multiple projects through all phases.
- Develop and coordinate interior design concepts, ensuring code compliance and integration with other disciplines.
- Review drawings and support functions to meet project time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Oversee the development of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) specifications and coordination.
- Mentor less experienced interior design staff and promote design leadership.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and client meetings.
- Lead and participate in construction administration activities, including site visits and review of submittals.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
- Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- Ability to provide interior design leadership across multiple projects.
- Strong design, storytelling, and technical skills as well as knowledge of building and life safety codes required.
- Exceptional presentation, organizational, team building, collaboration, and communication skills are a must.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships is essential.
- Experience leading a high performing team is preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Travel as required.
