Job Description
The role involves leading interior design efforts for a large healthcare facility project, providing design leadership across multiple phases, coordinating with various disciplines, and ensuring client satisfaction while mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the client and project team in establishing project goals and vision.
- Lead project interior design across multiple projects.
- Oversee design development through all project phases.
- Evaluate client needs and document design objectives.
- Coordinate project design work and ensure code compliance.
- Conduct drawing reviews in accordance with project constraints.
- Produce design visualizations.
- Assist in project planning and budgeting.
- Develop schedules for interior design components.
- Lead client meetings and maintain positive relations.
- Implement and enforce interior design standards.
- Lead development of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
- Mentor less experienced interior design staff.
- Participate in marketing activities, including proposals and interviews.
- Engage in construction administration activities, including site visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture required.
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
- Ability to provide interior design leadership across multiple projects.
- Strong design, storytelling, and technical skills as well as knowledge of building and life safety codes required.
- Exceptional presentation, organizational, team building, collaboration, and communication skills are a must.
- The ability to build and maintain client relationships is essential.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
- Travel required; at a minimum, travel to the client site is expected every other week.
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
- As a condition of employment, all employees are expected to complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and adhere to internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
