Job Description
This position involves leading the design process from conceptualization to construction, mentoring junior designers, and collaborating across disciplines to create innovative, sustainable architectural solutions that meet client goals and ensure design excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the design process, translating ideas into built environment solutions and overseeing project completion
- Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and develop design solutions throughout all project phases
- Create innovative design concepts aligned with client goals and culture
- Refine spatial and material solutions based on shared design goals and client input
- Guide detailing and construction documentation in collaboration with project architects
- Provide guidance on design intent during construction administration and project execution
- Prepare and lead the development of client presentation materials, including visualizations
- Collaborate with interior designers and technical disciplines to develop holistic design solutions
- Coordinate with engineers and technical leaders to integrate building systems and sustainable strategies
- Mentor and develop emerging professionals within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture required.
- A design portfolio of past and current built and unbuilt design work with clear demonstration of some personal contribution to project conceptualization and detailed development is required.
- Must contain a minimum of 2 fully constructed building designs representing a high level of design excellence.
- Minimum 10 years of related professional experience.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical knowledge of exterior and interior materials and building assemblies.
- Command of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required.
- Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
- Experience with digital media creation and editing in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications required.
