The Project Designer IV at CannonDesign is responsible for leading and developing innovative architectural design solutions across multiple projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring emerging professionals to achieve design excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptualize and develop design solutions throughout all project phases.
Create innovative design concepts aligned with client culture and goals.
Translate shared design goals into detailed drawings and visualizations.
Guide schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Provide guidance on design intent during construction administration.
Prepare and present client visualizations and design presentations.
Collaborate with interior designers, technical leaders, and engineers on holistic design solutions.
Integrate sustainable and performance-based strategies into design projects.
Mentor and develop emerging professionals within the team.
Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture required.
Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Technical knowledge of exterior and interior materials and building assemblies.
Must be a critical thinker.
Must be highly analytical.
Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines to achieve design intent.
Command of Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office required.
Experience with one or more real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio of past and current visualization work.
Experience with digital media creation and editing in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications required.
Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.
