Job Description

This role is a Project Architect responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design integrity, compliance, and quality from conception through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large, complex projects.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to align design intent with project goals and client requirements.
  • Oversee the translation of design concepts into technical documentation throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure building performance, sustainability, and code compliance are integrated into the design.
  • Lead construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
  • Mentor and supervise project team members to maintain technical quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
  • At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
  • Previous experience on large, complex projects
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States
  • Knowledge of building codes and requirements
  • Demonstrated focus on quality
  • Must possess business acumen
  • Strong client leadership skills
  • Strong technical leadership skills for production team
  • Capability to lead and mentor less experienced staff
  • Advanced knowledge in architectural discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
