This role is a Project Architect responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex architectural projects, ensuring design integrity, compliance, and quality from conception through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large, complex projects.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to align design intent with project goals and client requirements.
Oversee the translation of design concepts into technical documentation throughout all project phases.
Ensure building performance, sustainability, and code compliance are integrated into the design.
Lead construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
Mentor and supervise project team members to maintain technical quality standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
Previous experience on large, complex projects
Current Architectural Registration in the United States
Knowledge of building codes and requirements
Demonstrated focus on quality
Must possess business acumen
Strong client leadership skills
Strong technical leadership skills for production team
Capability to lead and mentor less experienced staff
Advanced knowledge in architectural discipline
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
