The position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex projects, ensuring design integrity, quality, and compliance from inception through construction, primarily in institutional or commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical content and ensure compliance for large, complex projects.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables in collaboration with the Project Manager.
Oversee the integration of design, technical documentation, and construction phases to meet project goals.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to align design intent with client goals, budget, and schedule.
Ensure building performance, sustainability, and code compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
Mentor and supervise project team members to maintain technical quality and standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience
At least 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or commercial projects
At least 3 years of experience in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects
Previous experience on large, complex projects
Current Architectural Registration in the United States
Knowledge of building codes and requirements
Demonstrated focus on quality
Must possess business acumen
Strong client leadership skills
Strong technical leadership skills for production team
Capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff
Advanced knowledge in architectural discipline
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
