The position is a Project Architect role responsible for leading the technical development, coordination, and management of large, complex architectural projects from design through construction, ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with client goals and sustainable design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical aspects and content for large or multiple projects, ensuring integrated deliverables and compliance.
Manage project technical and production processes from pre-design through completion, including critical path management.
Coordinate with disciplines to align design intent with project goals, budget, and schedule.
Translate design concepts into technical documentation and oversee their execution through construction phases.
Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into the project’s technical solutions.
Monitor project documentation for contractual compliance and quality standards.
Guide and assist in code analysis, safety, and energy compliance processes.
Lead discipline coordination to ensure alignment with architectural design intent.
Oversee the quality of modeling, documentation, and contract documentation processes.
Manage construction administration tasks, including RFIs and submittals response.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 10 years of related professional experience required.
Experience must include 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and or commercial projects.
At least 3 years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional or commercial projects.
Previous experience on large, complex projects.
Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Demonstrated focus on quality.
Must possess business acumen.
Must have strong client leadership skills.
Must have strong technical leadership skills for production team.
Must be capable of leading and mentoring less experienced staff.
Must have advanced knowledge in discipline.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
