The Project Architect will lead the design, coordination, and technical development of healthcare projects, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality and compliance, and fostering client relationships to deliver innovative and sustainable architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development of technical aspects and content of healthcare projects
Coordinate work across disciplines to ensure integrated deliverables
Verify project compliance through team collaboration
Lead design, production, coordination, and detailing within a multidisciplinary team
Coordinate engineering systems with engineers and consultants
Partner with Design Leadership to carry through design intent and coordinate project documents
Prepare site plans and design sketches of moderate to complex scope
Communicate project status, design intent, and construction updates to stakeholders
Participate in business development activities and support marketing efforts
Perform field site observations and visits
Develop and maintain positive client relations throughout projects
Integrate performance-based and sustainable design strategies into projects
Implement project delivery processes using CannonDesign Method to ensure quality and efficiency
Supervise, train, and lead interns and less experienced team members
Monitor technical quality and enforce QA/QC standards on projects
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant field required.
Minimum 8 years of related professional experience required.
Experience in large, complex healthcare projects strongly preferred.
Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must possess business acumen.
Must be a critical thinker.
Must be highly analytical.
Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work.
Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
