Job Description
This position involves designing and managing plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems within various construction projects, utilizing Revit BIM modeling, coordinating with project teams, and overseeing construction activities under the guidance of licensed engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify ductwork, piping, and equipment for plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Assist with HVAC system design as needed.
- Supervise or manage projects within the mechanical discipline, including monitoring progress and budgets.
- Create Revit BIM models of construction drawings for plumbing, fire protection, and HVAC systems.
- Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
- Interface with clients and project team members, attend meetings, and respond to RFIs and change orders.
- Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe construction progress.
- Coordinate work activities with project team members and participate in business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering required.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
- Current CPD, PE in Mechanical or FPE in the United States preferred.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects.
- Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus required.
