This internship role involves assisting in the design and modeling of HVAC systems under the supervision of a licensed engineer, with opportunities to participate in construction documentation, site visits, and process improvements within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection under supervision.
Support Revit BIM modeling of construction drawings for HVAC systems throughout project phases.
Review and mark up shop drawing submittals for HVAC components.
Participate in site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Requirements
Enrolled in and working toward a Bachelor or Master s degree in Engineering.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs, specifically Revit MEP preferred.
Ability to perform uncomplicated designs of ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment selection for HVAC systems for building design under guidance of a licensed engineer.
Ability to assist in Revit BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from Schematic Design to Construction Administration phases under supervision.
Ability to review and markup shop drawing submittals with supervisory oversight.
Willingness to visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, including physical walk-through of sites.
