Job Description

This intermediate-level interior design position involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to develop design goals for a large healthcare facility project, overseeing all phases from programming to construction administration, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of project goals through all phases of design.
  • Evaluate client needs and document design objectives and spatial requirements.
  • Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
  • Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team.
  • Develop design of interior spaces including floor plans, elevations, and finishes.
  • Independently evaluate and select materials and consult with vendors.
  • Produce drawings in conformance with project time, budget, and quality constraints.
  • Assist in project planning and budgeting.
  • Assist and lead client meetings as requested.
  • Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff.
  • Participate in construction administration activities including site visits and review of submittals.
  • Promote design leadership within the practice.
  • Assist in marketing campaigns as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
  • Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Must be design focused.
  • Must be an independent thinker.
  • Must be analytical.
  • Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects are required.
  • Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
  • Travel required.
