Job Description
This intermediate-level interior design position involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to develop design goals for a large healthcare facility project, overseeing all phases from programming to construction administration, and mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project goals through all phases of design.
- Evaluate client needs and document design objectives and spatial requirements.
- Research, evaluate, and coordinate furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
- Coordinate design work, standards, and code compliance within the team.
- Develop design of interior spaces including floor plans, elevations, and finishes.
- Independently evaluate and select materials and consult with vendors.
- Produce drawings in conformance with project time, budget, and quality constraints.
- Assist in project planning and budgeting.
- Assist and lead client meetings as requested.
- Mentor and supervise less experienced interior design staff.
- Participate in construction administration activities including site visits and review of submittals.
- Promote design leadership within the practice.
- Assist in marketing campaigns as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture required.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience required.
- Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- Must be design focused.
- Must be an independent thinker.
- Must be analytical.
- Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
- Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects are required.
- Professional business attire is required for client meetings.
- Travel required.
