This position involves assisting in the design and documentation of interior spaces, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting project development from concept to construction administration, primarily focusing on interior design, technical execution, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Senior Interior Designer and Project Manager in executing project goals across all phases including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
Develop interior space designs through planning and three-dimensional studies
Create and produce detailed drawings such as floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and pattern designs
Support in furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection, layout, and specifications throughout project phases
Ensure drawings conform to project time, cost, and quality constraints
Research and apply building and life safety codes to interior design work
Prepare renderings and presentation materials
Participate in client meetings to gain interaction and presentation experience
Conduct site visits, review submittals and shop drawings, and assist in punch list activities during construction administration
Mentor less experienced interior design staff and guide development of project documents
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field is required.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
Must be able to participate in the development of project’s technical or design characteristics and content.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
Ability to travel as required.
