Assist in the design and development of interior spaces, including creating drawings, selecting materials, and supporting project phases under supervision, within a collaborative and innovative design firm.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the design team in all project phases including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
Support interior space design development and documentation, including drawings of floor plans, elevations, details, and finishes
Conduct research for product and finish selections and assist in developing finish plans and specifications
Assist in preparing presentation materials and computerized renderings
Produce drawings and support functions in accordance with project constraints and standards
Support material and furniture selection, layout, and specification
Order samples and materials from vendors
Requirements
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or relevant field required.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience required.
Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organizational skills.
Ability to assist in all project phases including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
Ability to assist with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection, layout, and specification throughout all phases of interior design work.
Ability to assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces, including drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, pattern plans, elevations, details, and room finishes.
Ability to conduct research for product and finish selections and assist in the development of finish plans and specifications.
Familiarity with building and life safety codes and their correct application to Interior Design work.
Ability to assist in preparing presentation materials, including computerized renderings and other presentation formats.
Ability to produce drawings and perform support functions in conformance with project time, cost, and quality constraints.
Ability to follow CannonDesign drawing standards.
Ability to assist in the selection or consideration of building materials such as flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, furnishings, and other interior materials.
Willingness to travel as required.
Must complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and adhere to internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
