Job Description
The role involves providing leadership for the creative practice within CannonDesign, focusing on design excellence, innovation, and business growth while managing a diverse team and advancing the firm's brand and market presence.
Responsibilities
- •Provide leadership for the firm's creative practice in interiors.
- •Oversee and ensure design excellence and innovation within the practice.
- •Develop and implement a Practice Business Plan for growth and impact.
- •Lead the recruitment and development of a diverse team of creatives.
- •Identify future trends and opportunities for practice growth.
- •Collaborate with firm leaders to pursue new client opportunities.
- •Achieve top line revenue goals and ensure profitability.
- •Lead client and project leadership responsibilities.
- •Develop and communicate the firm's Living-Centered Design ethos.
- •Represent the firm at external speaking events and build brand narratives.
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in interior design, interior architecture, or architecture required.
- •18 years minimum experience in a design leadership role, of which a minimum of 5 years are leading others in a design studio or design practice segment required.
- •Design portfolio of significant built and unbuilt work required.
- •Strong oral presentation and storytelling skills required.
- •Must be able to understand and execute business strategy.
- •Must have professional acumen and maturity demonstrated by the ability to communicate authentically and respectfully.
- •Demonstrate ownership and accountability.
- •Demonstrate sound judgment and business acumen.
- •Demonstrate optimistic and inclusive leadership of a diverse team.
- •Travel required.
