This role is a senior specialist position focused on leading health projects, providing technical expertise, client and team leadership, mentoring, and developing innovative, sustainable design solutions within architectural and planning contexts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead high-level health project initiatives as a subject matter expert.
Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
Lead user group meetings to gather and refine project requirements and assess space utilization.
Communicate planning concepts effectively to clients, designers, and project teams through reports and presentations.
Develop, review, and modify planning concepts and solutions.
Create architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning ideas into construction documents.
Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
Integrate sustainable design solutions into projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree.
Minimum of 10 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the health market.
Previous experience leading or providing technical expertise on health projects.
Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline.
Must possess business acumen.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to be client-facing and effectively communicate planning concepts to clients, designers, and project team members.
Ability to lead less experienced team members.
Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software.
Ability to develop, modify, and review planning concepts, architectural drawings, and specifications.
Ability to develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process.
Ability to incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
