Job Description
This position is a senior specialist role in healthcare architecture, focusing on team and client leadership, project planning, innovative design solutions, and mentoring, with an emphasis on sustainable design and technical expertise in large, complex healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead healthcare projects as a subject matter expert, focusing on team and client leadership.
- Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning.
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams, clients, and owners through reports and presentations.
- Work with architectural designers to optimize plans aligning with owner goals.
- Translate planning concepts into project documentation, including architectural drawings and specifications.
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
- Incorporate sustainable design solutions into projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide guidance to team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience
- Previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the Healthcare market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must possess business acumen
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
