Job Description
This role is a senior specialist position in healthcare architecture, focusing on project leadership, client and team collaboration, innovative design solutions, and technical development of healthcare facility projects. The job involves guiding project teams, developing planning and construction documentation, and integrating sustainable design practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead healthcare projects by providing technical expertise in programming, planning, and architectural development.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions.
- Lead user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization.
- Translate planning concepts into clear reports, graphics, and verbal communication for clients and project teams.
- Develop architectural drawings and specifications to produce project documentation for construction.
- Develop project scope, plans, and services during the contract process, incorporating sustainable design solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience performing as a subject matter expert on projects
- Previous experience working on projects ranging from large, complex, or multiple projects for the healthcare market
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must have advanced knowledge in the discipline
- Must possess business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to be client facing
- Ability to lead less experienced team members
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software
- Ability to develop project scope, plan, and services during the contract process
- Ability to develop, modify, and review planning concepts and solutions
- Ability to lead the development of architectural drawings and specifications to translate planning concepts into project documentation for construction
- Ability to incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential clients
