Job Description
This role involves providing technical expertise and planning for healthcare projects, collaborating with project teams, developing design solutions, and translating concepts into construction documentation under the supervision of licensed architects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform as a subject matter expert and planner on healthcare projects under supervision
- Develop innovative solutions and responses to evolving research needs
- Collaborate with project teams to provide technical expertise in programming and planning
- Participate in user group meetings to gather and refine program needs and assess space utilization
- Communicate planning concepts to project teams and clients verbally, graphically, and in reports
- Work with architectural designers to optimize plans aligning with owner goals
- Translate planning concepts into understandable terms for clients and team members
- Contribute to development, modification, and review of planning concepts and solutions
- Assist in creating architectural drawings and specifications for project documentation
- Support development of project scope, plans, and services during contract processes
- Incorporate Sustainable Design solutions into projects
- Maintain relationships with clients and potential clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- At least 2 years of previous experience performing as a subject matter expert on healthcare projects
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements
- Must possess working knowledge and experience in relevant skills and concepts, while still acquiring higher level knowledge
- Must be analytical
- Must be an independent thinker
- Must have the ability to be client facing with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build a rapport with the project team and client
- Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam software
